3,500 euros for roast sponsors and food and Christmas bag for children

Rheine.cpr. With a donation of over 3,500 euro the Rotary club Rheine supports the project ?roast sponsors? of the Rheiner table in the Caritas Sozialkaufhaus Brauchbar & CO. And thus still not enough. In addition, members of the Rheiner Rotarians brought still another large food donation, particularly with long durable goods, to the table of the Caritas Rheine. “We are happy about the great donation and support of the Tafel. It is a nice sign to know that the Rotarians show solidarity in these difficult times,” thanked Caritas board member Ludger Schröer the members of the Rotary Club Rheine at the donation handover. Apart from the food the tables still received many small Weihnachtsstüten for children, which packed the Rotary club particularly for the Rheiner table.

Representing the club, Dr. Stephan Schulte, Prof. Dr. Markus Lange and Thomas Prochmann paid tribute to the work of the Tafel and also thanked the volunteers who help people in need.

At the Rheiner Tafel, donated food is distributed to people on low incomes. Especially in these times, many people are in need of additional support. This is also evident in the increasing demand for the Tafel. Currently, around 200 customers come to the Tafel every Tuesday and Thursday.
