Media station with many possibilities put into operation in the salt boiling house
For the anniversary year 2023 of the Gottesgabe Salt Works, the Association for the Promotion of the Gottesgabe Salt Works had launched two anniversary projects in close cooperation with the municipal museums Rheine. Following the publication of the book on the Gottesgabe salt works, a media station with a large touchscreen display was installed in the salt works building.
Today, the chairman of the association, Thomas Liedmeyer, welcomed numerous guests to the Salzsiedehaus and presented the media station. Three short films – some of them illustrated – show how salt extraction worked in the past. The explanations are available in three languages, i.e. also in Dutch and English. There are also salt-related games for children.
The media station is primarily intended to support the activities of the tour guides at the salt works and expand the possibilities of the salt workshop.
