Trakai/Rheine. Andrius Satevicius remains mayor of the rayon municipality Trakai (Lithuania). He won the most votes in Sunday’s runoff election against his competitor Jaroslav Narkevicius. Satevicius, who belongs to the Liberal Movement, got 63.42 percent of the vote, while Narkevicius of the Union of Christian Families took 36.58 percent. “I will do my utmost to ensure that Trakai continues to be a place where it is good to live,” said the winner after the election in Rheines twin city Trakai.The city of Rheine has maintained a close partnership with Trakai and its 38,000 fellow citizens together with the twinning association since 1996. Mayor Dr. Peter Lüttmann and the twinning association congratulated on the re-election.
