Rheine. On the occasion of the Reichspogromnacht 85 years ago on November 9, 1938, the city of Rheine will commemorate all Jewish citizens who were deported and murdered in the various concentration camps in Europe with a wreath-laying ceremony on the former synagogue site at the intersection of Neuenkirchener Straße and Salzbergener Straße on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 7:00 pm. Following the wreath-laying ceremony, the lecture “A Tribute to Oskar Schindler” by SPIEGEL bestselling author Tim Pröse will take place at the VHS in the Josef-Winckler-Zentrum at 7:30 pm.
