Pupils collect donations for the redesign of the schoolyard

Sponsored run of the Christophorus School

Rheine.cpr. For many years, the Christophorus School, a Caritas special school with a focus on mental development, has held a sponsored run in the city park. Nearly 180 students set out in cold but dry weather to run or wheelchair many laps for a good cause. Some parents came as spectators and diligently cheered on the children and young people. Thanks to everyone involved, this day was a great experience for our school community.

This year, the student council thought about the proceeds and conducted a survey of all classmates in advance. In the end, the majority voted in favor of supporting the design of the schoolyard.

They had already advertised in advance and collected a lot of money. All in all, Christophorus School is delighted to have received a total donation of 1,609 euros.

“We are thrilled with the joy and energy with which our students are involved. A big thank you also goes to our sponsors. Thanks to their support, we are able to realize some wishes,” Barbara Kammer (principal) and Sarah Reckenfelderbäumer (deputy principal) summed up.
