Vaccinate instead of scold

With a spontaneous photo action employees of the Caritas house underlined the statement of the banner with their visible support.

Caritas Rheine calls for vaccination / High vaccination rate of over 95 percent in the services and facilities of Caritas Rheine

Rheine. cpr. With the action “inoculate instead of scold” the Caritas Rheine calls again for the Corona inoculation. “Because vaccinating and the associated protection for oneself and for one’s fellow human beings remains an essential instrument for combating the pandemic,” emphasize Caritas board members Dieter Fühner and Ludger Schröer. The aim of this campaign is to reach those who may not have agreed with other Corona measures and therefore have not yet had themselves vaccinated out of spite or resignation.

Fortunately, the willingness to be vaccinated in Caritas Rheine is already very high. In the various Caritas Rheine facilities, well over 95 percent of employees have had themselves vaccinated or boostered. This is because, for example, Caritas employees in nursing professions, educators in daycare centers, and employees in youth welfare and handicapped facilities benefit directly from their own vaccination protection for the people they care for, since it is often not possible to maintain a safe distance. But also the employees in the counseling services and administrative areas make their solidary contribution to society with their high willingness to be vaccinated.

In addition to this campaign, Caritas is positioning itself throughout Germany with its annual campaign under the motto “Thinking the future, living cohesion: Das Machen Wir Gemeinsam” on topics such as charity, respect, justice and solidarity. “These are all values that speak for a decision to vaccinate,” says Alexander Breulmann, the person responsible for this campaign at Caritas Rheine. “So everyone can show solidarity by getting vaccinated and do their part to fight the pandemic instead of complaining about restrictions.” Vaccinate instead of grumble!
