The guiding idea of the architectural design is to upgrade the building complex consisting of Town Hall Centre 1 and 2 in terms of urban development and to reorganise the entire building spatially and structurally.
The aim is to increase the quality of stay in the building sections, to integrate previously fallow areas into the new usage structure, to increase the visibility of the special functional units in the overall structure, and to improve the path relationships within the entire complex.
The formation of the alleyway to the new hotel building, the expansion of the passage with large skylight windows and the creation of a new inner courtyard in the Rathauszentrum 2 with its natural lighting and the resulting visual relationships make a significant contribution to increasing the quality of the interior. In addition, the different uses in the building will be rearranged in such a way that they will have a functional added value in their interaction with each other.
