Shortly before Christmas Eve, the “tukkers with a heart” drove to a branch of the Caritas children’s and youth home and unloaded pallets of textiles and toys from their 15-ton truck in the pouring rain. In the weeks before, they had collected items from businesses and individuals to support those in need. Matthias Kornblum, department head of the youth care center, gratefully accepted the donation. “The pallets are sorted between years so that families, young adults and refugees can be provided with the donations as quickly as possible,” Matthias Kornblum said.
