RheineIn mid-October, the Rheiner SaMs – which stands for pupils as multipliers – set off on a project trip to Berlin. They were accompanied by supervisors from the drug counseling center, the Child Protection League and the Youth Welfare Office Rheine.

SaMs undergo a two-year training program. This training includes basic training as well as training on specific topics such as violence and bullying, addiction and drugs, and sexuality. With the help of this training, the students are supposed to be contact persons for their fellow students on these topics at their schools.

In Berlin, they now carried out project tasks in two large groups on the blocks of topics they had learned. The group also went on a sightseeing tour along the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Sony Center and Potsdamer Platz and had a one-hour educational tour of the Berlin Wall Memorial. While in Berlin, a city rally was also on the agenda and a highlight of the trip for the SaMs was an Alba Berlin basketball game.
