Face to face, you can meet very different people in the Falkenhof Museum who look back at us – painted in portraits. Admittedly, they remain silent and do not reveal at first glance what life story they had or which artist actually portrayed them. But now comes remedy: On Thursday, July 28 at 4 p.m., a themed tour entitled “Portraits in the Museum” will be offered in the Falkenhof. During the joint tour, tour guide Freya Nagelsmann will present a selection of the most beautiful and interesting portraits, ranging from dignified portraits of Falkenhof residents to expressive portraits from the Biedermeier period by artists from Rheine and an unusual family portrait from the 20th century.
