11 March 2024 marks the 34th anniversary of the announcement by the Lithuanian Supreme Council – the Reconstituted Seimas – that Lithuania will regain its independence. The Lentvaris Cultural Centre invites you to celebrate this significant day, the Day of the Restoration of Lithuanian Independence, together and to continue to move forward firmly into the future of independent Lithuania.
Programme of the Lithuanian Independence Restoration Day celebrations in Lentvaris:
- 12:00. 12:00 pm. 12:00 – Mass at the Annunciation of the Lord in Lentvaris. 12:00 in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lentvaris.
- 1:30 pm. 11 March concert “I am your freedom” at the Lentvaris Cultural Centre.
During the concert, the most beautiful Lithuanian songs will be performed by soloists of the vocal studio “All Stars” and students of the Performing Arts Department of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies of Vilnius College (music director Elizabeth Olshey). The guests from Ukraine – the circus studio “Argo” (director Oksana Gurieva) – will give an exceptional performance. The event is free of charge.
Let’s develop the national consciousness, citizenship and patriotism of our younger generation, proving that Lithuanian public holidays are holidays for all of us. Let’s celebrate Lithuania’s Independence Restoration Day, decorate ourselves with the colours of the Tricolour and take an active part in events!
