Fire department, police and technical assistance on duty at the Emsmühle
Rheine. The flood level may have peaked.
The Ems meadows are flooded, parts of the Timmermanufer are under water. What became apparent yesterday led to a major operation by the police, technical relief organization and fire department today. Water had entered the basement of the old Emsmühle. Further protective measures were taken here.
Parts of the zoo grounds are also currently flooded. Some paths and areas are inaccessible. The care of the animals is ensured. The NaturZoo is still open. However, there are restrictions on visits to the zoo.
