Members of the partner committee Borne and board members of the town twinning association Rheine traveling together in Twente
Borne/Rheine. The members of the partner committee Borne and board members of the town twinning association Rheine met on Saturday at the Watermolen Bels in Twente in golden fall weather. This twinning meeting takes place once a year, where those involved in twinning work come together with their partners to get to know each other and the region better and to make plans for the future in a relaxed atmosphere.

Volunteers from Landschap Overijssel guided the group through the beautiful Moosbeek valley and pointed out many geological and botanical features. In a watermill, which was also once used as a paper mill, the function of the mill technology was demonstrated and flour was ground.

In the beautiful Bels watermill, which now houses a restaurant, all participants then met for dinner together. The successful afternoon ended with a rustic snack. They will meet again in a few days at Rheine: The Bornensers are coming with a delegation to the city’s commemorative event Rheine on the night of the pogrom.
