Pupils from Leiria on return visit in Rheine
After some weeks ago pupils from Rheiner schools were guests in the Portuguese twin town Leiria, young humans arrived on Monday evening for the return visit in Rheine.
Meetings, inspections and common experiences stand for the 18 young humans from Leiria, the pupils of different schools from Rheine as well as the host parents on the program. To get to know the region better, excursions to Bad Bentheim, Münster and the Overijssel region were also planned. Furthermore, a German Christmas bakery in the FBS as well as a joint Hipp-Hopp lesson in the sports forum of the TV Jahn.
Today, the students were welcomed at the Gymnasium Dionysianum, where they learned about the school system in Germany. Afterwards, they went on a short tour of the city via the Old Cemetery to the Ems River and the Falkenhof.
After lunch, the guests and hosts were received by Mayor Dr. Peter Lüttmann.
