“Designing a barrier-free future”

Action Day on May 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bornesquare in Rheine

Rheine.cpr. May 5 is the European Day of Protest for Equality for People with Disabilities. The motto of the day is “Shaping a barrier-free future”. The day is intended to draw attention to the situation of people with disabilities in Europe. Accessibility is the prerequisite for a self-determined life of people with disabilities and for equal participation in everyday life and in social and political developments. Accessibility is also a contribution to the sustainability of society as a whole, because a world without barriers is more accessible and worth living in for everyone. For many years, Caritas Rheine has also participated in this day of action. Under this year’s guiding principle “Shaping the future without barriers”, we too want to make encounters possible on May 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Bornesquare in Rheine. Getting to know each other better, talking to each other instead of about each other, these are some of the goals of the action day. Anyone interested is welcome to join us for coffee, waffles and music.
