Learning with fun – this is regularly on the agenda in the salt workshop of the municipal museums Rheine. Next Saturday, October 29 at 4 p.m. is another opportunity for children, parents and grandparents to go on a journey of discovery together. The family program starts with an entertaining guided tour to the original boiling pans, to the old salt warehouses and to the firing places, where one learns interesting facts about the extraction of salt in Bentlage. Afterwards, the program continues in the salt workshop. Here, all family members can get active and make their own salt in small pans. Not only can you watch how beautiful white salt crystals are created from the salt water, but you can also take your own salt home with you, of course. The number of participants is limited, therefore a registration under Tel. 05971 – 920610 is recommended. The cost is € 3 per person and the program lasts about 1.5 hours.
