“The journalist and author Gerd Cosse receives the culture award of the city of Rheine.” This was reported by the Münsterländische Zeitung in its Thursday edition. It continues:
Unanimously, the cultural committee followed yesterday evening the recommendation of the jury, which had justified its proposal with the fact that Cosse had rendered outstanding services as an author and the documentation of Rheine’s city history.
The former newspaper editor (Münstersche Zeitung) has, among other things, written the book “Tunnelgeheimnis” (Tunnel Mystery), which deals with the archaeological finds at Falkenhof. Cosse, who also runs an Internet blog, also provided intensive journalistic support for Regionale 2004.”
On the board of the Rheine Town Twinning Association, Gerd Cosse is responsible for the joint website www.friendsineurope.com, which is operated by the twin towns of Borne, Leiria, Bernburg, Trakai and Rheine.
