Children’s advisory council designed hands-on activities for World Children’s Day

Rheine. “Every child needs a future” was the motto of the World Children’s Day, which was celebrated last Wednesday on the market square. It was particularly important to the Children’s Advisory Council that there should be activities on this day to draw attention to the rights of children. Together with the youth and family service as well as the youth welfare office of the city Rheine they arranged a various Mitmachangebot. The Jakobi Youth Center and the Catholic Youth Organization also took part in the campaign. The children could tell their wishes for the future, take part in a quiz about children’s rights or use one of the other offers such as face painting. It was a colorful and beautiful day that was a lot of fun for all the children and others involved.
