Overwhelming willingness to donate at the wish tree campaign in the Emsgalerie for the network “Where to? at home in Rheine”

RheineFollowing last year’s well-received premiere, the wish tree campaign was once again held in the Emsgalerie in the run-up to Christmas. The Emsgalerie center management staff set up the festively decorated Christmas tree in the entrance area of the Emsgalerie. The tree was adorned with tree tags containing Christmas wishes from people in need, which visitors could remove to make a wish come true. Around 120 parcels and packages found their way to the center management and provided a large mountain of colorful gifts.

These have now been handed over to the “Where to? At home in Rheine”. “This year, I am once again overwhelmed by the great willingness of the people in Rheine to donate. A huge thank you to all the citizens who took part and also to the employees of the center management,” said Jörg Jäger from the city of Rheine, who was delighted with the great success of the campaign. The parcels were handed over to the people in need in time for Christmas. The lovingly wrapped gifts and the fact that someone went to so much trouble just for them made this Christmas very special for the people who received them. You could see that in every single person’s face when they received their presents.

We would like to thank all donors for making a Merry Christmas possible for those in need.

The “Where to? At home in Rheine” network consists of many different institutions such as Aktion Selbsthilfe e.V., Treff 100, the station mission Rheine, the soup kitchen Rheine, the Caritas housing emergency aid, the residential group for young adults and the Kremer-Haus homeless facility.
