Additional performances of the children’s matinee

Rheine. The children’s matinee has started! And with sold-out seats. For all those who were unable to get tickets, there is now good news: in November and December there will be additional performances in the children’s matinee series.

On Sunday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m., the plays “Sender Unknown” (ages 4-6) and “Pop-up, Pirate!” (7-10-year-olds) will be performed at Stadthalle Rheine.

In the play “Sender Unknown,” Rita wants nothing more than to receive a letter. One day the unexpected happens, for the first time she receives a letter. But there is no sender on it. Together with the post office box clerk Fitz, she sets out to find “sender unknown”.

At the same time, the “Pop-up, Pirate!” presents fantastic folds and dazzling language treasures for 7-10 year olds. From a big old overseas suitcase, Pirate and Tapir keep pulling out new pop-up, paper and cardboard objects and tell stories of and with synonyms, tongue twisters, poems, rap, gibberish and much more.

On Sunday, December 17, at 2 p.m., there will be a special Christmas story for ages 4-6 titled “Sophia and the Secret Santa:” Sophia takes it upon herself to see a Christmas Secret Santa this year. When she surprises him the night he leaves, he takes her on an adventurous journey to the home of the Christmas elves, high in the north. But there’s a catch to the story; only those who cook a good soup for the family of a discovered elf will have him visit again next year.

Tickets for the additional performances on November 19 and December 17 can be purchased online on the city’s website Rheine: www.Rheine.de/theater from 28.10.2023 at 12 noon. Tickets are offered at a price of 5 euros (3.75 euros with family pass).
