At the beginning of the week Rheines responsible alderman Raimund Gausmann together with youth welfare department chief Annette Wiggers and Wiebke Helling of the youth welfare department of the city Rheine could hand over the 7,000 and/or 6,999 vacations passport to the brothers Connor and George Daulby. As an additional surprise, the two received two ice cream vouchers. Natalie Daulby, mother of the two boys, was likewise enthusiastic about the free vacation passport action of the city Rheine.
The fact that the demand was large this year, shows alone the number of the issued passports. “And there are still some vacation passes available for the last days of the summer holidays,” as Raimund Gausmann points out. As long as the supply lasts, children and young people as well as pupils from Rheine can pick up another vacation passport at the known issuing points. The vacation passports can be redeemed still up to 06.08.2023.
With the vacation passport there is the possibility to visit the nature zoo, to cool down at summer temperatures or to be active at the miniature golf, because the vacation passport contains an entrance ticket for the nature zoo Rheine as well as three variable entrance tickets either for the indoor swimming pool Mesum, the open-air swimming pool in Rheine or the miniature golf arrangement in the city park.
The vacation pass is available from the Youth Welfare Office, at Cityhaus, Bahnhofstr. 1 and at the Town Hall Information Office, Klosterstr. 14 in Rheines town center, as well as at the Mesum branch office on Nielandstr. 7. Other drop-off points are the district offices and youth centers in Rheine and the Youth and Family Service.
