Rheine accepts proposals for the Homeland Prize

Rheine. The cultural committee of the city of Rheine has decided in its last meeting this year to offer a Heimat-Pries for the city of Rheine. With this prize, the city, in cooperation with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, would like to honor the outstanding commitment of volunteers who work on the theme of homeland in our urban society.

The Homeland Award is thus a way of expressing praise and recognition for voluntary work and at the same time of bringing the topic of homeland into the public eye. In addition, the prize is also an incentive for new interested people to get involved in their homeland and to discuss the topic of homeland in society.

Last but not least, one can also learn from the award-winning projects in that an idea can be transferred elsewhere or can provide the impetus for further initiatives. For this reason, the first place winner of the Heimat-Preis of the city of Rheine is automatically qualified for the state competition.

The Heimat-Preis NRW 2022 is endowed with a total of 5,000 euros and can be divided among up to 3 prize winners. Applications can only be submitted online.

Further information on the call for entries and the link to apply or nominate can be found now on the homepage of the city of Rheine at www.rheine.de/heimatpreis.
