Next Saturday, 26.11. Clock open the Municipal Museums Rheine the technical monument in the salt boiling house from 16 to 18 with free admission. The historic boiling pans, the furnace and the salt storage can then be visited in the dimmed and atmospheric light of lanterns and especially for children a search game is offered: The aim is to discover symbols that have to do with salt production in Bentlage. Flashlights will be kept ready so that the darker corners can also be illuminated. All children who succeed in their search will receive a small memento of the afternoon at the museum ticket office. The salt workshop is not open on Saturday, but the rooms of the Josef Winckler Museum, i.e. the former inspector’s apartment in the Salt Boiling House can also be visited.

Illuminating it goes then on Sunday, 27.11. at 15 o’clock in the museum monastery Bentlage. During a public guided tour, visitors will get to know the most beautiful treasures of the museum. For example, the late medieval Bentlage reliquary gardens, the sculptures that once adorned the monastery church, and some selected paintings from the Westphalian Gallery from the collection of the LWL Museum of Art and Cultural History, Münster, will be presented.
