Rheine. A warm summer night, nice company and a handful of stories: Those are the ingredients for the City Library’s Summer Night Readings. On a late summer evening, guests at the event can explore the surroundings of the interim location and listen in between as readers from Rheine recite little tidbits. Otto Pötter, Friedel Theismann, Indra Hasenclever, Helga Streffing and Karlheinz Uhlenbrock – no strangers to Rheine and the library – will be taking part. 10-15 minutes are spent at each station of the walk to listen to one snippet each. Then there will be a change – a total of five stations are planned. Refreshments will also be provided in the form of a beverage station. Tickets are available free of charge at the public library from August 9, 2023. The summer night readings will take place on Friday, September 1, starting at 7:30 p.m., meeting point is at the municipal library.
