Rheine. Mayor Dr. Peter Lüttmann today welcomed students from the Polish town of Biala Podlaska to the town hall. The group is visiting the city as part of an exchange with the vocational college Rheine of the Steinfurt district. They were accompanied by teachers from Poland and Germany. In the council hall, Mayor Dr. Lüttmann reported interesting facts about the city Rheine and answered the guests’ questions. Finally, the visitors were able to take a trip up to the roof of the town hall Rheine and take the obligatory souvenir photo.
The group will be visiting Rheine until the beginning of June. They will be taking part in a varied program that includes information visits, company tours and internships in German companies. The school partnership is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year and is sponsored by the German-Polish Youth Office.
