Partnership association invites to the trip to “Borne op zi’jn Best”
Rheine/Borne. Numerous Rheinenser will participate in the coming Sunday in the popular event “Borne op zi’jn Best” in the Rheiner twin town. The bus used by the twinning association is almost fully booked with 70 participants. Departure is on 16 April at 12 o’clock from the Emstorplatz at the Osnabrücker road. The return journey is planned for 17 o’clock. Many Rheinenser visit the meeting in addition, directly with the passenger car.
There will be plenty of live music, an art market, culinary offerings and, of course, the competition for the most beautiful living statues. 70 “living statues” can be admired in the alleys of Borne. This competition is the largest in the Netherlands. The artists come from many European countries. Unfortunately, for six artists from Ukraine will not be able to travel. Voting for the public favorites, in which visitors from Rheine can also participate, will take place throughout the afternoon. In the late afternoon the award ceremony will take place.
Participants from Rheine will receive an overview map on the bus to help them find their way around. Borne is expecting 30,000 to 35,000 visitors on Sunday. Since the weather forecast also predicts early spring temperatures, the conditions for a beautiful afternoon in Rheines twin city are excellent.
