New Caritas Travel 2024 program now available

Rheine. cpr. The new 2024 catalog of the Caritas associations in the Steinfurt district is now available. “As every year, we have a variety of destinations for interested participants who are keen to travel,” explains Anja Rickert from the advice center for older people and relatives. There are once again trips to Bad Waldliesborn or Bad Rothenfelde on offer. For those who like to travel a little further afield, trips to Bad Lauterberg in the Harz Mountains or to the Kaiserbad Kissingen in Bavaria are certainly interesting destinations. New to the program are trips to Bad Zwischenahn and Bad Wildungen. The popular destinations on the North Sea and Baltic beaches are of course also back on the program. On April 24, there will be a 15-day trip to Norderney and on May 9 to both Travemünde and the beautiful Timmendorfer Strand at the Maritim Hotels there. On June 7, participants can enjoy the beautiful North Sea island of Borkum for 11 days.

On April 28 and September 7, they will spend 11 days in the Baltic seaside resort of Dahme. A second trip to the North Sea island of Norderney begins on August 17.

A nine-day retreat to Bad Rothenfelde during Advent with a visit to the Christmas market is a nice change during the dark days. The floodlit salt works and the festively decorated Bad Rothenfelde also contribute to the contemplative atmosphere. This year, there will also be an eleven-day retreat for people in need of care and people with dementia and their relatives in the barrier-free house in Bad Bevensen on 7 May. On August 30, there will be a thirteen-day leisure trip for people in need of care and people with dementia and their relatives to Norderney. On both trips, specialists and helpers are available to care for and support the travelers. These trips are characterized by the fact that there will be both joint and separate vacation offers for those in need of care and their relatives.

There are two destinations to choose from over Christmas and at the turn of the year 2024/25: Bad Pyrmont with two different accommodations and Bad Bevensen.

The trips will be accompanied by trained tour guides who will be on hand to offer advice and assistance to senior citizens and sweeten the vacation with a number of enjoyable social activities.
