Leiria/Rheine. Reception of exchange students from Rheine in the City Hall of Leiria: The group of Portuguese hosts and German students from Rheine was warmly welcomed by the City Council of Mayor Goncalo Lopes in the City Hall on Tuesday afternoon.
The exchange between the secondary schools of Leiria and secondary schools in Rheine is now 20 years old. 17 young people had arrived in Portugal on October 3. They were welcomed by families of students from Afonso Lopes Vieira and Francisco Rodrigues Lobo secondary schools.
Until October 10, the participants will get to know the county Leiria better through many events and excursions. Furthermore, the city of Rheine is represented this week by the artist Christina Sauer in Leiria, who exhibits her works as part of the exhibition “Under High Pressure”.
