Rheine. All children who reach the age of 6 by September 30, 2023 (birthday period 01.10.2016 to 30.09.2017) will be required to attend school in the summer of 2023. All legal guardians of the affected children residing in Rheine have therefore already received an invitation from the city of Rheine to enroll in school in September 2022.

Registration can take place directly at the elementary school selected in each case. At least one parent or guardian should accompany the child to be registered. It is a prerequisite that neither of the two show symptoms of Corona infection. It is recommended that a mask be worn in the school buildings. Current Corona protection measures apply, as well as generally known hygiene measures.

The following items are required for enrollment:

• Enrollment invitation (letter dated 09/14/2022).
• Birth certificate or family register
• Copy of the court decision in the case of custody decisions
• Vaccination certificate of the child
• If applicable, registration form of the elementary school (available on the homepage).

Elementary school freshman registration for the 2023/24 school year will be held on the following dates this year:

Tuesday, October 25, 2022 and Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

It is mandatory to make an appointment in advance. For this purpose, contact can be made by telephone with the selected school.

Registration at schools with partial locations (Canisiusschule with the partial location Rodde and Johannesschule Mesum/Elte) will be carried out

at the main locations in each case.
