Play afternoon at the Schotthock: A meadow full of fun and games

Rheine. Last Sunday, a play afternoon was held for the second time at Walshagen Park in Schotthock. More than 150 children came with their families to the park to spend a colorful and varied afternoon. With a giant Jenga, Viking chess, spike ball, parcours or with hula hoops, everyone could really let off steam in the best weather. In addition, the children could be artistically active with paints and canvases. The families themselves took care of the physical well-being: Many accepted the invitation and brought blankets and a delicious picnic. Those who needed a cool refreshment enjoyed a delicious ice cream.

The afternoon was hosted and organized by IG Schotthock. The youth and family service, the youth art school, the drug counseling center Rheine, the project go network Rheine, the youth center Underground and the team counseling and accompaniment of immigrants of the city Rheine had brought the outdoor games to create a low-threshold leisure offer in the Schotthock.

In the end, parents, children, young people and the IG-Schotthock agreed: This should happen again.
