New spaces – open, show and enable

Participate in the Intercultural Week from 23 September to 03 October

Rheine. Since 1975, the IKW has been organized in many cities throughout Germany. The Ecumenical Preparatory Committee for the Intercultural Week is the leading initiator of the project week. Every year in September, about 5,000 events take place in more than 600 cities and communities. This year’s motto “New Spaces” leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

“New spaces” can be designed, opened, entered or built. The action weeks offer many opportunities to meet, exchange ideas and inform. The IKW will start on September 23 with the “Open Day” at the Mitte51 meeting center in the Dorenkamp district. The conclusion with the BÜRGERPICKNICK on 03 October makes the action week round. A colorful stage program, numerous (hands-on) booths and food from all over the world are also planned. BÜRGERPICKNICK is organized by the Integration Council of the city of Rheine in cooperation with Rheine. Tourism. Veranstaltungen e.V., the Migration and Integration Service of the Caritas Association Rheine and the Schools, Social Affairs, Migration and Integration Department of the city Rheine.

To be able to offer a diverse and varied program in Rheine, the support of associations, interest groups, educational institutions and numerous volunteers is needed.
