Rheine. Last week, the employees of the Technische Betriebe Rheine (TBR) installed new fire bowls at the Hünenborg. After the old fire bowls were stolen several years ago, not only the members of the district advisory council Bentlage/Wadelheim/Wietesch/Schleupe are very happy about the new bowls. For more than a decade, the district advisory council has been particularly committed to upgrading the Hünenborg as a place to stay and relax. “It is all the more gratifying that our efforts to acquire the two new bowls were successful and that this chapter is now closed,” explained Laura-Jane Klein, chairwoman of the district advisory council. The procurement had become possible via the Master Plan Green. It was adopted in 2019 as the first city-wide and integrated concept for the development of green and open spaces. A key objective is to improve the quality of life and living through appropriate measures.

Hünenborg is also visibly gaining in attractiveness. Not only through the annual kite festival, but also through other projects such as the panorama loungers that have already been installed or the information boards that are currently being planned.
