Medicines arrived at the hospital in Luzk

Rheine. A pleasant message arrived today from our twin city Trakai. In it, Mayor Andrius Šatevičius announced that the first packages of medicines such as antibiotics have arrived at the hospital in Luzk, Ukraine. Our twinning association had transferred 10,000 euros in donations to the partners in Trakai. Initially, these funds were used mainly to purchase medicines in Lithuania and bring them to Luzk in vehicles from Trakai. Luzk is the twin city of Trakai, so our motto “friends help friends” was successful.

“A big thank you to the German partners in Rheine for the nice cooperation”, writes the mayor of Trakai. In the meantime, food was bought from the remaining money from the donation. This transport to Luzk is also on its way in the meantime, says Andrius Šatevičius.

In order to be able to finance further aid transports, the twinning association continues to ask for donations.
