Leiria Christmas arrives on November 24 with 44 days of magic

×

From November 24 to January 6, Leiria Natal returns to the historic city center, with a program that promises more than a month full of ‘magic’ and Christmas spirit.

The inauguration of the event, with the switching on of the lights, takes place on November 24 at 9.30pm at the Luminous Fountain, with the presence of Santa Claus, a moment that is already one of the highlights of the program, with the Christmas Parade on November 26, between 3pm and 6pm, starting at Largo da República and ending at Jardim Luís de Camões.

Another surprise is a Santa’s House with more activities for all the children, which will be moved from Rodrigues Lobo Square to Luís de Camões Garden, where, in addition to the traditional request for presents, they will be able to play in smaller houses.

This year’s edition is also marked by the installation of the Christmas Tree in the city’s main square, surrounded by the small spaces that make up the Mercadinho Doce, and the return of an exhibition of LEGO® constructions, which will be on display at the Sant’Ana Market, with free admission.

Leiria Natal 2023 will continue to feature the Elves’ Playground with entertainment for all ages, the ice rink, the ramp, the carousel, the rail train, the Solidarity Garden, the Solidarity Market, taverns, theater, music, dance, concerts, among other activities, most of which will only end on December 31, giving families the opportunity to take advantage of the school vacations.

Under the motto “Christmas and magic is at Leiria!”, the city’s streets and cultural venues will have daily initiatives for 44 days, with LED lighting that will be on every day of the event, between 5pm and 1am.

Everything a child dreams of during this season is on Leiria Natal, an event that puts the municipality on the map of cities to visit from the 24th.

All the information will soon be available on the Visit Leiria website and on the Leiria Natal Facebook and Instagram pages.
