Leiria christmas: magic and fantasy in the city center

Leiria. Until January 6, “Leiria Christmas” fascinates in the city’s historic center. And with a program that promises more than a month full of “magic”, Christmas spirit. This time, there will be even more entertainment for children and adults. Leiria has once again been a city of dreams, fantasy, joy and magic for a few weeks now. People from all over the country come to experience this Christmas world.

The ice rink is even bigger, surpassing the walls of the Recreio dos Duendes, with a passage outside the huge tent, which once again contains the various attractions for the little ones, such as trampolines, bouncy castles, tree climbing, slides and electric reindeer.

The ice ramp will be installed in the Luís de Camões garden, where Santa’s house will once again be set up, which will be animated daily, and in the Christmas market, which will also include the solidarity market in Largo Papa Paulo VI, the sweets market and the Christmas tree in Largo Rodrigues Lobo.

The train, the carousel and the taverns are also back this year, as well as the Leiria Natal stage in the Sant’Ana market, where the program is enhanced with musical shows and children’s theater.

Everything that fits a child’s dreams at this time of year can be found at Leiria Natal, an event that puts the municipality on the map of Portugal’s most important cities during the Christmas period. It is also expected to exceed the 609,000 visitors of 2023.
