Twin municipality Borne invites you to “Borne op z’n Best” on April 13th
Once again this year, our Dutch twin town Borne invites you to the town festival “Borne op z’n Best”. It will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
With a wide range of cultural activities throughout the town center, our Dutch neighboring municipality will once again show what it has to offer. A convivial day for young and old is guaranteed.
The main crowd-puller is the “Living Statues” competition in Alt-Borne, in which numerous living and imaginatively decorated statues compete for the crown of champion in the North and East Netherlands region. Visitors can also enjoy plenty of live music in the squares in the center of Borne. There is fun and games for children on various squares.
If you want to combine your visit with a shopping spree, the stores are open on Sundays. You can pick up a nostalgic bargain or two at a flea market. There will also be another art market, with various artists from Overijssel, Gelderland and the German border region.
If you want to travel to Borne by car, the journey is very easy. It is approx. 55 km on the A30 to the Hengelo/Borne exit. If you turn right, you will reach our twin town Borne after 2 km.
If you don’t want to drive yourself, there is a bus that will take you comfortably to Borne for a fee of 10 euros. The bus departs from Emstorplatz on Osnabrücker Straße on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 12:00 noon. The return journey is planned for around 17:00.
