Words of warning at the opening of the Riga Symposium in Rheine
At the opening of the Riga Symposium, Mayor Dr. Peter Lüttmann referred, among other things, to the European work of the town twinning association. The deputy president of the German War Graves Commission, Wolfgang Wieland, addressed not only the war in Ukraine but also the new right-wing populist government in Italy in his speech. As an answer to the questions of the present, he called for intensifying peace work.
