Pupils from the twin town Leiria in Protugal gained first impressions of Rheine
Rheine/Leiria. The 26 students from our twin town Leiria were warmly welcomed by their host families. The weekend was all about getting to know each other in the families.
Klara Küpker from the Dionysianum describes the start of the visit at the end of last week:
“The first real day of the Portuguese group in Rheine:
Program point 1: Experience school in Germany once. Very relaxing. At least this was the impression of the Portuguese students at the Dio.
After four hours of exciting lessons, there were a few welcoming words from the school administration. Of course, the lessons were not the only exciting experience. After lunch together, an exclusive city tour by Clemens Schöpker was on the agenda. He imparted many facts about Rheine to the guests from Portugal.
The last item on the agenda was a meeting and conference with Deputy Mayor Fabian Lenz. As a conclusion of the day there was a group photo on the roof of the city hall.
