The President of Leiria City Council, Gonçalo Lopes, now two tech business groups, namely ISICOM and MD Group, which have recently made huge investments in their facilities and have high growth potential, which will benefit the development of the region.
During this visit, the Mayor, accompanied by Ricardo Santos, Councillor for Municipal Operations, had the opportunity to be updated on the growth strategy of these two groups in Barosa, as well as the responses developed during the pandemic. Two good examples of the ability to adapt and the resilience that the municipality’s business model has highlighted in the face of the current challenges.
In the case of Isicom, this group is building the Tecnea – Technology Centre in Barosa an innovation space that will foster the development of disruptive solutions.
MD Group has already invested heavily in building facilities in Barosa with state-of-the-art technology.
