For several weeks, the pair of red squirrels was barely visible in their aviary at the mouse barn. Now they reappeared – and not alone. In the tree hollows and other hiding places, the female had given birth to young and raised them very secretly. At the first discovery of the four (that’s how many we have seen so far) cubs about a week ago, they were already almost as big as their parents. Now they can be seen regularly on discovery tours.
