Family day at the Falkenhof Museum

Come on in to the Falkenhof! On Sunday, June 19 from 2 – 6 p.m., the Rheine Municipal Museums invite you to a big family day. With free admission, the Falkenhof Museum can be explored from the vaulted cellar to the attic – in addition, there is a booklet full of information, pictures, questions and riddles for the children. In addition, the children can slip into the role of the former noble inhabitants of the house. There is a whole range of costumes to choose from, which can be tried on (please allow for waiting times!). – A tip for all parents: This moment should of course be captured with a cell phone or camera. The historic setting of the Morriensaal provides just the right setting for this. In addition, the museum studio will be open that afternoon – a creative activity will take place here under supervision. You can paint your own porcelain plate as a souvenir of the precious plates from which the noblemen in the Falkenhof used to dine and which can be viewed in the display cases. For the adults, there will be short tours of the collection rooms at 3 pm and 4 pm.

All activities are free of charge on this special day. The permanent exhibition at the Falkenhof Museum can also be visited on other days with free admission. The program on June 19 is offered in conjunction with this year’s Münsterland Castles and Palaces Day, to which numerous noble residences invite visitors. www.schloessertag.de
