The cabinet announced December 10 that people on low incomes will receive an additional allowance, of about €200, to help pay for rising energy prices. This is in addition to the previously promised reduction in the energy tax, which applies to everyone. The municipalities implement this extra energy allowance.
The municipality of Borne will receive information from the government about this allowance, after which an implementation regulation will be made as soon as possible. Then it will be clear who can make use of the scheme and how the allowance will be paid out.
