Rheine. cpr. In the Centro S. Antonio, the intercultural meeting center of Caritas Rheine, the start of the action series “Centro on Tuesday” was a complete success in sunny weather. A joint action of the parishes of St. Anthony of Padua and St. Dionysius, the parish Caritas and the specialist service Migration and Integration of Caritas Rheine invites all interested citizens with and without migration background and especially the neighborhood to the Centro S. Antonio. For the culinary well-being and a cozy atmosphere is provided. “More than a hundred years ago, the Centro house was already a day school, later a kindergarten and finally a meeting place for intercultural life in Rheine,” Kevin Löcke, an employee in the Migration and Integration Department, describes the project. “The courtyard is beautifully designed, among other things with diverse art by various artists from all over the world. We want to reawaken the courtyard to the colorful and lively place in Rheine that it used to be,” Löcke continues.
Every Tuesday, encounters will now be created in the inner courtyard of Centro at Ludwigstrasse 9 in Rheine. From 12 o’clock the day is opened with a soup offer, in the afternoon there is the possibility in the “language café international” to lead discussions with humans from the whole world and in the early evening in the project “start with friends” intercultural is played and cooked.
