STADTRADELN 2023 – Registrations now possible!
Rheine. Since 2017, the citizens of the city of Rheine have been pedaling very successfully and vigorously in the STADTRADELN campaign of the Climate Alliance for more climate protection and cycling.
This year, from May 18 to June 7, 2022, the city is once again taking part – this time even as the defending champion, because last year the enthusiastic cyclists from Rheine rode to first place in what is now a worldwide competition. Mayor Dr. Peter Lüttmann is very confident that the bicycle-enthusiastic Rheinenser will participate again in 2023 with much verve in the STADTRADELN. “The STADTRADELN is supported in Rheine by a broad layer of enthusiastic and environmentally conscious people. This is shown not only by the committed participation of the council members or the many schoolchildren who participated very successfully in the school cycling and also won prizes.”
“Register, start cycling and have fun!” according to this motto, Mayor Lüttmann therefore calls on all citizens to pedal hard together again from May 18 to June 07, 2023, in order to achieve the top result of last year. Young and old, big and small, commuters, recreational cyclists, students, teachers, parents – in short, all people who live, work or go to school in Rheine are invited to cycle as many kilometers as possible in a healthy and climate-friendly way during this period.
The STADTRADELN competition is all about having fun while cycling. But above all, it’s about getting as many people as possible to switch to bicycles in their daily lives and thus make a contribution to climate protection. In the action period the wheel should be used both vocationally and privately as often as possible. Also the kilometers of a bike tour with friends or a vacation by bike are included in the statistics.
