Ems flood waters reach new highs – cycle paths and footpaths now closed
The high water level of the Ems continues to rise. In the meantime, the seven-meter mark has been exceeded.
The Ems floodwater has risen well above the seven-meter mark. You can call up the current water level at the Unterschleuse lock here: LANUV – Hydrological measurement data online (nrw.de)The footpath and cycle path below the Nepomuk Bridge is no longer passable.The basement of the Emsmühle is currently being cleared. Floodwater is already seeping out of the joints.
