Margret Weusthof retires as head of the Ellinghorst daycare center
Rheine.cpr. Actually, Margret Weusthof should be said goodbye after more than 30 years of activity in the Caritas Rheine, last as a director of the family center Caritas day care center Ellinghorst in the context of a ceremony. However, due to illness, the farewell ceremony had to be cancelled. So the farewell and thank you party turned into a small farewell tour. First within the daycare center, where she said goodbye to staff, parents and children, and later also in the Education Department. The tour ended with a coffee afternoon with the board of the Caritas Association Rheine, Dieter Fühner, the current and former management of the Caritas Children’s Home Society, Winfried Hülsbusch and Norbert Dörnhoff, as well as the Head of the Education Department Stefan Gude. There, Margret Weusthof was honored on behalf of the German Caritas Association and the Diocesan Caritas Association of Münster with the Caritas Badge of Honor in Gold.
Margret Weusthof began her work as an educator at the Caritas children’s and youth home in 1990 before becoming the director of the Caritas day care center in Ellinghorst in 1997. Margret Weusthof accompanied the daycare center Ellinghorst from the beginning through the planning, construction and development of the first concept and developed it into the family center Caritas daycare center Ellinghorst.
With the objective of also creating an offer in the regular day care facilities, the Caritas-Kinderheim Gesellschaft took over the sponsorship of the Ellinghorst day care center. In 2017, the sponsorship changed to the Caritas Association Rheine.
In all these years, Margret Weusthof has mastered her tasks as head of the family center Caritas-Kindertagesstätte Ellinghorst with extraordinary commitment and great empathy. “With a great sense of responsibility, a high level of professional competence and tireless commitment, she was present for the Ellinghorst daycare center,” the board and management thanked Margret Weusthof for her many years of extraordinary dedication to child daycare.
